French Style 8 Day Visible Escap Large French 19th c Bronze Intimate Couple Figure Marble Base 8 Day Mantle Clock This is an amazing 19th century French tall figure marble mantle clock. The intimate couple are standing on a round green marble base, with a clock housed inside. The time shows on a nice porcelain dial, signed by Antony Bailly. The statue is made of bronze with beautiful patina from its age, signed by Louis Moreau. The complete clock stands 29" tall and the base is 11-1/2" in diameter. The movement is 8 day with half hour and hour striking. It's in good working order and complete with pendulum and winding key. Because of its size and weight, the statue and the marble base with clock will be shipped separately for their safety. The statue can be easily re-attached by 2 screw nuts. This clock was made by the Chelsea Clock Co of Boston.We were told that the serial number on the movement corresponds with a sales record, indicating that the clock was sold to Smith Patterson & Co on 3/14/1908.The clock is quite gorgeous with its round wooden case, clean looking dial, and brass pendulum The clock has a weight driven time only movement It appears to be in overall good condition and has been well cared for.The movement was last serviced in 2022. Would make a great gift of keep for yourself! Check out this beautiful E. Howard & Company Wall Clock. Made in Boston, MA. Has the key for the case that operates the lock. The lock works. See lock pic, not sure if lock mechanism is original or not. Fancy embossed detailed knob on the front of the wood case as well as the ring around the keyhole, as well. The finials are all in place on the wood case. This is the one watchman station model from what we have researched. This fine Wall Clock is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end auction house or clock shop. We have been selling items out of our home for over 35 years. We can therefore better control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that the high end auction houses and Clock Shops experience.The clock was made in the late 1880s period. Beautiful, maybe a cherry wood case, on this one. Nice receded detailing on the front of the case. Scalloped trim along the top. The back of the wood case appears to be made of mahogany wood. Stencils noting the Watch Clock model are still on the door. Looks like old glass in the case. The front door is securely attached to the rest of the case by the hinges. The glass is intact, no cracking or blistering. Nice old rippling glass here, not some new smooth replacement glass.Has the one lead weight with a brass casing as this is a time only clock. Cannot say if original to the clock or not. Comes with a wind key. Should be an 8 day movement. The pendulum Bob is 4.5” across. The pendulum rod is made of wood and painted gold. Some loss of the paint on the rod.Some sun lightening to the right side of the case over the years. A couple of new stainless brackets on back of case added sometime in the past to make the case more stable, see pics. A shrinkage crack runs across the top of the case.This clock face has roman numerals at all 12 positions. Certainly some paint loss from over the years. Nice looking matching hands on the clock. We see no cracks or splits in the wood case, nor any missing pieces. This clock is being sold in not running condition as have not yet had an opportunity to hang and test it out. The clock is 58.25" tall, 19" across, by 9.25" wide. The clock face is 9.25" across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. The clock movement was made by Kieninger of Germany, the clock dates to circa 2014. This is the Seville Model Number 611-032. Designed by Chris Bergelin. A highly sought after model and not many become available in the market. Ones up on internet now as we list this clock are up for $5,200 to $6,000. This fine Grandfather Clock is being offered to you at a price below what you would see in a high end auction house or clock shops. We have been selling fine items out of our home for over 35 years. We are therefore better positioned to control our acquisition costs, keep commission costs low (if applicable), and finally, we don't have the overhead that the higher end houses and clock shops pass on to their clients Beautiful clock face. Done with an antique white background, then brushed nickel colored raised numbers and then brushed nickel colored hands.The clock has a three different chimes options; Whittington, St. Michael, and Westminster. And of course there is a silent option, but why would you want to do that?! Also, an evening silent option for chiming and striking which goes from approximately 10PM to 7:15AM.The clock case is made of dark stained wood, which is noted as Coffee Black, and is in very good shape. The color is a very rich looking dark brown, almost black. Nice flat top. Columns line both sides of the case door to accent the clock face and pendulum weights areas. Very little surface marking even around the bottom skirt where some ambitious person with a vacuum typically leaves their marks. Some slight marking to the top left corner of the clock case which was touched up with a furniture marker at some juncture in the past.The bottom wood plate of the clock below the weights is with it, just not attached. Was just stapled on and loose when we acquired the clock, is with it. A typical issue we have found after 35 years of dealing in grandfather clocks.The clock strikes the hours on the hour and then does either the Westminster Chimes or other routine every 15 minutes including on the hour. The strike has a nice strong hour strike and chime's sound. This clock is being sold in running, striking, and chiming condition at this juncture. The stained dark wood case on this clock looks very good. One piece case here, no hood over the face and movement. One door over the face and pendulum weights area. Door has a working lock and key. The door is securely attached to case by the hinges. Both the beveled glass side panels up by the movement are intact.Again, all the wood and trim is still with the clock. The beveled glass in the door, over the face, the pendulum area, and the sides is all intact. No cracking or blistering. The lock latch for the pendulum door is there and operates, comes with the key for the door lock.The movement appears to have been with this clock case since made. A German AJK Kieninger movement that was made around 2014. The clock has a good beat to the movement with the pendulum and weights in place. The chimes unit has 8 strike hammers for the chimes and four strike hammers for the hours. This clock is weight driven with the 3 weights hanging from the braided cables. Nice looking brushed nickel look lacquer finish on the outer shells of the weights. Some minor wear and tear and spotting from use and polishing. Some minor denting to two of the shells along a bottom corners. The braided brass cables and nickel colored pulley wheels that hold the weights in place are in good condition. The strike hammers and rods all look to be in good shape. Great looking German Kieninger movement, and then an even better looking clock face on this clock. The clock has a silver colored metal clock face on it with gold numerals. There then is nice looking detailing surrounding the face. The large clock face is approximately ??" across. The elegant clock hands are brushed nickel plated, match, and are appropriate to the clock. Comes with the original instruction booklet.The clock is too delicate and heavy for shipping safely via normal shipping options, so this clock is for local pick-up, via your shipper or delivery by us within 250 miles of Georgetown, DE. Description OFFERED FOR SALE IS RARE ITHACA NO 3-1/2 PARLOR DOUBLE DIAL CALENDAR CLOCK MADE AROUND 1870-1880. THE CLOCK COMES WITH NEWER MATCHING SHELF. THE CLOCK HAS ORIGINAL BLACK PAPER DIAL WITH GOLD NUMERALS. THERE ARE SOME TOUCH-UPS TO NUMERAL 4 AND 8 AS THESE AREAS ARE WORN THE MOST. THE TREFOIL HANDS APPEAR TO BE ORIGINAL. THE CALENDAR HAND IS NOT ORIGINAL. I USED PERIOD HAND FROM THE OTHER CALENDAR CLOCK WITH 1/4" ROUND BRASS BUSHING AND CENTER PORTION (WITH A HAND SHAFT HOLE) OF THE ORIGINAL ITHACA CLOCK HAND THAT WAS DAMAGED. IT IS NOT NOTICEABLE WHEN THE WASHER IS ON THE TOP. THE SIZE AND SHAPE IS CORRECT. THE CALENDAR MECHANISM IS ORIGINAL TO THIS CLOCK. I BELIEVE ITS PARTS ARE MADE OF NICKEL. THE PAPERS WITH SILVER LETTERS ON THE ROLLS ARE ORIGINAL. THEY ARE IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE 'NOVEMBER' APPEARS TO HAVE REPAIRED TEAR AND TOUCH UP. THE OTHER MONTHS AND DAYS TAGS HAVE A SHARP LETTERS WITH MINIMAL WEAR. THE ORIGINAL PENDULUM IS IN GREAT SHAPE AS WELL, WITH NO CHIPS TO THE BEVELED AND ENGRAVED GLASS. THE MOVEMENT WAS DISASSEMBLED FOR CLEANING AND REPAIRS. THERE ARE A FEW NEW PIVOT HOLES ON THE FRONT PLATE. PLEASE NOTE IT IS EARLY MODEL WITH NO SPRING SUSPENSION AND CLUB FOOT ESCAPEMENT. BOTH FEATURES ARE TYPICAL FOR WELCH, SPRING &CO PATTI CLOCK AND SIBLING MODELS. THE EBONIZED CARVED CREST IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. IT CAN BE DETACHED FROM THE TOP. THE ARCHED TOP HAS A VENEER REPAIR BY THE REAR EDGE AS SHOWN ON THE PHOTO. IT IS NOT VISIBLE WHEN THE CLOCK IS DISPLAYED. THE CLOCK RINGS THE BELL ON THE HOURS. NO HALF HOUR CHIME. An extraordinary & extremely rare Austrian Biedermeier style music box mantle/table clock High quality Austrian solid brass plate 30 hour wind two train silk thread suspension movement (movement restored) with integral linkage to concealed music box at base (music box restored); 2 Austrian melodies alternate each hour, triggered after hour strike (photo of chain link running from the base of the upper clock case thru bottom clock base); music box combs 100% complete; clock movement, music box & all linkage relating to the operation are fully restored;4 ¾” round porcelain face with Roman numerals (minor porcelain loss at the winding arbors); hinged metal door frame has convex glass & hooks at other end (glass chip near hinge); chimes on a steel coil gong located within the upper clock case; gong, music box & movement assemblies are mounted securely to case Masterfully made with wonderful imagination to draw the eye to 3 small pictures of famous Austrian sites; 2 decoratively carved gilded wooden columns have recessed alabaster stone accents; fluted wooden areas decorate both the clock case base& each column capitol area; carved wood 2 stage stepped crown create the clock case topper also decorated with 2 small alabaster urns, 2 small mirror areas (1mirror is a replacement); thin decorative gilded metal scroll pieces are also used; the round wooden clock case is supported in the center with a carved& gilded ornate frieze which is mounted to the clock case base; pendulum isa round lace pattern cut from thin metal & gilded. Both clock and music box are accessed from wood rear doors held in place with thumb latches. Chiming correctly &running on time. Three separate winding keys are included; 1key to wind music box, 1 key to wind clock and 1 key to adjust the FAST/SLOW gear APPROXIMATE DIMENSIONS: height 24 ½” x width 14 ½” x depth 5 ½”I am an antique clock collector wishing to reduce my clock collection.I am NOT a retailer.This clock comes from my collection & has been running successfully for several years with no difficulties. Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Vintage 1980's Jerome H. Simon "Design in Light and Time" Limited Edition Brass Modernist Light-Beam Projection Clock. The Original Clock was Created (And Patented) in 1981 By Jerome Simon. The Original is in The Museum Of Modern Art. This Was Produced in a Limited Edition Run in the 1980's by the Beamo Corporation Cambridge Mass. USA. This is One of the Rare Limited Clocks Produced!!! This is No. 164, and Has The Original Label on the Bottom, "DESIGN IN TIME & LIGHT by JEROME H. SIMON #164 Beamo Corp. Cambridge Mass". This Has a Unique Design. It Has a Brass Modernist Case. The Arched Brass and Glass Base Magnifies a Single Beam of Light, Periscoping it Through The Underside of the Central Acrylic Tube. The Motorized Mechanical Mirrors in the Back Refract the Light and Send Beams Onto the Round Frosted Glass Face. A Circular Light Beam on the Frosted Glass Dial Marks the Hour Hand, and a Thin Light Beam Marks the Minute Hand. The Seconds Hand is Also a Thin Beam of Light That Circles Around the Dial. I Have Included a Video to Show the Clock Working, with the Seconds Hand Light Beam Circling Around the Dial! This little antique clock is exceptional, created during the Edwardian and the belle epoque periods, back in the 1908-1910. It was crafted with gorgeous details in solid sterling silver .935/.999 and mount on a four-round footed base. The three sides panels and the top, are embellished with applications of vivid pink enamel over a radiant Guilloché surface. It is fitted on top with a movable handle and a at the reverse with a hidden hinged door.Dial: The dial is round, silvered with black Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, signed Swiss.Movement: Stamped and signed by the maker, "CONCORD WATCH CO.
