Aaron Willard Massachusetts's Shelf Clock (Reproduction) By Adolph Amend jr.
eBay Aaron Willard 8 day weight driven (Reproduction) Mass. Shelf Clock by Adolph Amend jr. ca 1968 . This is an exact reproduction of an early Aaron Willard shelf clock in mahogany .Signed and numbered # 5 of 6 made by a group of fine craftsman re ; Adolph Amend jr. (Movement) , George Bizlewicz ( Case) and Lucille Graff ( Glass Painter) . They took great care to measure and record all specifics to duplicate this right down to the last detail. This piece was on of the very first group ( 5 of 6)the Mr. Amend ever made as he went on from these to make many more styles . I've included some paper work I received when I bought this and it is very informative as to how he made this but also helps to authenticate this one or the other 5 as well. It doesn't look new nor 55 for that matter as they managed to make it look the way it should. Select figured mahogany case and the dial isn't stark white as they put a finish on it that looks appropriate for a clean antique dial. It looks much better in person but I've taken a lot of pics in different light to give you an idea of how nice it is.Of course it runs fine and keeps very good time. Delaney Antique Clocks in Townsend ,Ma. had a very fine example of of a Simon Willard Grafton wall clock by Amend and as they only sell the finest antique clocks that says a lot for the quality of his work.This is a part of their knowledge about this maker "Adolf Amend lived and worked in several New Jersey and Connecticut locations. He was a graduate of the Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He was a skilled machinist and applied for patents related to clockwork. From 1939-1951 he was employed by the General Time Corporation in NYC. He then became a member of the Englewood School for Boys until 1975, when he retired to Sherman, CT. During retirement, he volunteered at the Kent School in Kent, CT. He was an early Nation Association of Watch and Clock Collectors member and frequently contributed to the Bulletin. In 1967, he became interested in making authentic copies of several Willard clock movements. His first six clocks were copies of an Aaron Willard shelf clock movement. Later, he also made at least two skeleton clock movements with duplex escapement, and a tall clock is reported. He also made a copy of Simon Willard's Grafton wall clock."Dims are; 35 Inches tall x 13 1/4 inches wide x 6 3/8 ths deep.I do not have a crank key for this but can be bought rather easily .( American # 6 or #7 ) I usually don't buy reproductions but when they are this nice and of this quality, all day long. VINTAGE TELECHRON ELECTRIC CLOCK WITH BAKELITE CASE 1939-42 GOOD RUNNING AS IS
eBay This clock measures 5 1/4" x 6". The brown bakelite case is in good condition with no cracks. The cord is badly worn - as photo shows. The clock runs quiet. The inside of lens has some dark specks. I was going to clean them but was unable to get clock case loose from frame. It seems to be stuck tight so I just left it. Reverse reads, MODEL 3H83. I believe this model is called Melborne. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

"His goal was to convert Americans to an appreciation and understanding of modernist design," as quoted by Phyllis Ross, the author of his biography published in March 2009 by the Yale University Press.Beginning in 1932, and continuing up to his death in 1944, the works of Gilbert Rohde was to reflect American Steamline Moderne design, as well as current trends in European art and design, including French moderne, the International Design style associated with the Bauhaus, and later, Surrealism. Telechron Quacker Bird Alarm Clock Model 7F63; All Functions Working; Rayon Cord
eBay This is a black Telechron Model 7F63 "Quacker" bird alarm clock dating to the 1934-1939 manufacturing period. Clock Runs and Keeps Time. The 7F63 Quacker is the Alarm-equipped version of this fun design, whereas the version of this clock without alarm is known as the "Smug" (Model 8F01). Quackers quack and the Smugs are "smugly silent", I guess. Telechron offered this clock in Black, Yellow and Blue, all with an Orange beak and eyes in black and white This design was created by Designer Belle Kogan, (1902–2000), who was a Russian American industrial designer and is regarded as the first prominent female in that profession in the United States (the "Godmother of Industrial Design") as well as one of the founders of the profession itself. Production numbers for this Quacker model are miniscule (just 10,422 sold) compared to typical Telechron numbers, which for more common models were between 600,000 and 1,000,000 or so. For Visual Condition, please review the 12 included photos and video (with sound) in this listing. That said, all functions are working on this rare and highly desirable much sought after clock; as you can see from the included video, the clock and the alarm are both working. The "Power Failure Indicator Dot" which changes from White to Red is also working properly. There is a new brown Rayon Cord with ceramic plug, all appropriate for the 1934-1939 time period, and important for electrical safety reasons. The Bakelite body appears to be undamaged in any material way other than the expected signs of handling from ordinary use over the last 84 to 90 years or so. There is a split of opinion on removing things like the brass bezel and polishing them, or keeping the patina of age; we have left the bezel in its aged patina, which matches the patina of the delicate Second-Hand and Alarm-Pointer. Likewise, we have not stripped the clock and polished the Bakelite, matters we feel should be decided by the Buyer. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

Telechron Electric Clock - Model 3H83 - The Melbourne
Produced from 1939-1942 it has a green "marblette" case with a cream colored dial and brass bezel and hands. It is a fairly rare model with only just over 7,000 units originally produced. You will note in the picture which shows the back of the clock a dark maroon line in the upper right and in the lower left.

Art Deco Swiss Clock with Aquatic Motif, Enameled Face by Imhof
An especially fine and rare Art Deco clock, this aquatic-themed desktop piece was made by Arthur Imhof in Switzerland, probably not long after he begin to make clocks in 1939. The brilliantly hued enameled fish on the face of the clock, together with its fish-shaped clock hands, give it a vivid undersea motif that reflects the period's fascination with all things oceanic. Imhof also founded the Helveco brand of clocks and watches, which continue to be available today.
