Swedish Mora Clock (original paint) circa 1805

Sold on eBay September 6th, 2024

Swedish Mora Clock (original paint) circa 1805

This Swedish Mora Clock, crafted around 1805, is a one-of-a-kind piece for collectors of antique decor. The clock's weight-driven movement and analog display offer an authentic vintage feel, while the charming green color with flower decorations and wooden-brass combination make for a stunning addition to any room. The clock's style is country, perfect for those who appreciate rustic decorations. The clock is an original Mora model and has been well-preserved with its paint still intact. Don't miss the opportunity to own a piece of pre-Victorian history! Please check out all of the pictures of this antique Mora clock. The original paint has some losses, and the paint on the face is shot and needs to be repainted. The top of the pendulum has a pin that hangs it that is worn and needs to be replaced (shown in the pictures). The person I bought this from had the pendulum rigged up and was working. I'm selling as is and not working due to pendulum pin. It may need other things that I'm not aware of to operate. I didn't actually see it running, but it is complete with the original weights and key and pendulum. This clock has a great antique painted finish. Some cracks to the wood were noted in the pictures. Please email me with any questions or for more pictures. This clock is for local pickup in central CT. (Condition: Parts Only)

Antique Two Train Fusee Bracket Clock Smith Of Workington Mid 1800’s

Sold on eBay March 1st, 2025

Antique Two Train Fusee Bracket Clock Smith Of Workington Mid 1800’s

Regency period/style bracket clock, likely made by Joseph Smith (1805 - 1855) of Workington. Appears complete & original with possible exception of missing ratchet pawl on time train, I’m not sure if required or if one originally existed, but noticed a pawl on strike train, but not one on time train, also note two “Phillips Head” screws on rear pendulum bracket, clearly these are not original to the period. Will ship movement boxed separately, hands and pendulum removed and packed separately as well. Key & lock for rear door working, no key or lock for front door. Movement will need serviced as cord on time train has “snapped”, likely a cleaning and oiling of movement required as well. Any questions please advise. (Condition: Parts Only)
