English walnut longcase grandfather clock @ 1700 Original Charles Gretton signed
Queen Anne walnut longcase grandfather clock @ 1700 - 1710 by the eminent maker Charles Gretton in London. This is a fantastic rare clock that came out of an estate recently, where it had been in storage for many decades. The clock is presented in original untouched condition, but is in need of case restoration to look its best. There are some loose and detached, and some missing, molding pieces, the bonnet door lock is missing, and the trunk door hinges look to have been replaced at some point a long time ago; otherwise the case is quite good. The period walnut and walnut veneered case measures 85" tall x 20" wide (at the top) x 9" deep. It is very handsome and gives off a look of refined elegance with its great proportions, end-grain moldings, blind fretwork, and pendulum viewing lenticle in the trunk door. This is a clock from the Golden Age of early British clockmaking, and this maker was a rock star of the era, having apprenticed many of the best future makers who would go on to fame, and also having served as the Master and Treasurer of The Worshipful Company of Clockmakers for many years. A similar clock by this maker recently sold for over 15,000 pounds. The signed 12" square brass dial is excellent with very good original surfaces with patina. Great original hands, with the minute hand having had an old repair. The 5 pillar movement is original to the dial with no extra holes anywhere. Movement is complete and intact, and has countwheel strike. Movement is relatively clean, and runs and strikes well, but is sold without any warranty due to shipping. With original weights, weight pulleys, pendulum, and winding key. Please see the photos attached for the complete description, and ask any questions you may have. No reserve. Shipping in the Eastern USA can be arranged by blanket wrap antique mover service, which I would estimate to be $400.00, depending on exact location. No shipping West of the Mississippi River is offered. I will also deliver this case to a 100 mile radius of Chicago for $100.00. International shipping can be arranged; please message me for details. ANTIQUE 1700's Nathanel Hedge of Colchester English Clock w Pendulum and Keys
This is your chance to own a very nice clock from a highly respected clockmaker dating to the 1700s. Very old piece other clock collectors would be envious of! This antique clock from Nathaniel Hedge is a true treasure for collectors. Crafted in the late 1700s, it features a beautiful round shape with a brass face and brass movement and a wooden frame. The clock is mechanical and has a pendulum. It comes with 2 keys. One for the case and one for the clock. The clock was manufactured in the United Kingdom and is a great example of the antique artistry of the time period. This clock is a must-have for any clock enthusiast or lover of antique furniture Nathaniel Hedge III (1710–1795) was an English clockmaker based in Colchester in Essex.Hedge was apprenticed to the Colchester clockmaker John Smorthwaite in 1728 and married Smorthwaite's daughter Sarah in 1733. Hedge went on to become a prosperous and highly respected clockmaker Examples of Hedge's work can be found in the Mason collection at the Colchester Clock Museum. The clock face, casing, and movement all look original. Pretty near identical hands are shown on p. 88 of English Domestic Clocks, by Cescinsky and Webster. The clock does seem to work and tick when i swing the pendulum but as always i would recommend a good maintenance to have it in original working order and time keeping ability. It is currently being sold for a parts piece. Please view all photos. This is a dandy. Shipping will be via either USPS or UPS depending on buyer location. (Condition: Parts Only)

Antique G.S. Tiffany 1904 Electric Crystal Regulator Clock ~Beveled Glass, Rare
Antique G.S. Tiffany 1904 Electric Crystal Regulator Clock ~Beveled Glass, Rare Rare G.S. Tiffany electric battery operated crystal regulator clock, dial signed "Tiffany Electric Mfg. Co, Buffalo" with a patent date of 1904, these clocks were among the first battery "electric" clocks. Brass case with (3) beveled glass panels, one replaced non-beveled side glass, disc pendulum, replacement battery box as shown, original hands and dial. There are areas of oxidation and wear to the finish as shown. Untested, as it it not hooked up to a power source. I have included a video. This 120 years old clock is a rare survivor and historical example predating AC in most homes of the period. Measures 9.5" height x 6" width and 5.25" depth. The early battery electric clocks, including Tiffany, were beaten into submission with the introduction of AC main power distribution into the consumers home and the development of cheap and reliable electric motors for clocks. George Steele Tiffany was a man of the moment. He saw an opportunity to make and sell an electric version of the then popular 400 day clock. In the end it was technological advancement which caused the demise of his clock business, but for 20 years he reigned supreme. We are listing several interesting Maritime clocks and barometers from a collection, please check back for our offerings. Thank you. Shipping & TermsPackages will be sent via Fedex or UPS Ground. Handling time is up to 5 business days prior to shipping but usually quicker. Shipping costs reflect insurance and materials related to safely packaging the item.
