It would have been a little taller, but the tip of the top carved crest is missing. This Victorian Ithaca Parlor Calendar Clock is a No. 3 ½ and is constructed from Walnut with carved Ebony accents. It has a brass 8-day spring driven movement with hour strike on a silvered bell. There is a “count wheel strike mechanism” and the original silvered, etched glass pendulum. At the top is 4-inch clock dial with pierced spade silvered hands and at the bottom is a 7-inch, 31 day calendar dial with silvered date numbers, plus a revolving day and month window. All this is original and the brass bezels have the original glass. On the back are two replaced wood backboards …. I am not a knowledgeable clock dealer especially on a complicated clock like this. Both springs are wound tight and when I attached the pendulum it did work for a minute before stopping. I advanced the minute hand and it did strike, but the hammer needs adjusting to strike the bell. Measuring 28 1/2’’ tall by 15 1/4’’ wide by 4 1/2” deep this circa-1865 wall clock is in original, complete condition with no restorations. In our close-up photographs you will see an arrow pointing to the convex, figured Mahogany molding with some shrinkage between the pieces. There are no other problems to the case and both sets of nickel-plated brass works are complete. Both faces and the three hands are also in original and in very good condition. We were able to wind both springs and they are strong, but we did not get a pendulum with the clock so we have not been able to test it.. We will guarantee that the works are all complete and once a proper pendulum is attached there is a very good chance this clock will work. It would have originally been a little taller, but the tip of the top carved crest is missing. This Victorian Ithaca Parlor Calendar Clock is a No. 3 and is constructed from Walnut with carved Ebony accents. It has a brass 8-day spring driven movement with hour strike on a silvered bell. There is a "count wheel strike mechanism," however, as you can see, one spring has sprung and shifted the works and we cannot dislodge them. When trying to move the works, this clock began to run. At the top is a 4" dial that is missing the hands. At the bottom is a 7", 31-day calendar dial with silvered date numbers and a revolving day and month window. All of this is original and the brass bezels have the original glass, however, the mechanism that attaches the clock works to the calendar works are disconnected. We have taken a picture of some of the works that we have which are separated from the movements. Finally, the original backboards of this clock are missing. There are no other problems with the case, and both sets of nickel-plated brass works are complete. Both faces and the three hands are also in original and in very good condition. Measuring the base, this Rare antique Ithaca Parlor Calendar Clock measures 4 1/2" wide by 12" long, and the overall height is 26 3/4". This Victorian Ithaca Parlor Calendar Clock is a No. 8 circa 1865 and is constructed from Walnut with carved Ebony accents. It has a brass 8-day spring-driven movement and strikes on the hour. There is a "count wheel strike mechanism" and the original pendulum. At the top is a 4-inch clock dial with pierced spade hands, and at the bottom is a 7-inch, 31-day calendar dial with revolving day and month windows. The top paper face has yellowed, and the bottom calendar face has several scratches. We wound this clock and both springs were strong. However, it ran and then stopped. When we advanced the hands, the bell would strike, but it will need servicing, cleaning and an adjustment to keep good time again. Both faces still retain their original brass bezels and early glass, and on the back, there are two replaced screws, and one screw is missing, which holds the original wood backboard in place.
