A beautifully brass restored Schatz 1000 day clock with glass dome, winding key and basic instructions. The clock measures 6-1/8'' w x 9'' h If you're a collector the Schatz 1000 day clock should be in your top ten and I would put it around sixth. In the video I point out the huge main spring barrel that makes this clock unique and the locking pendulum devises. Restoration consists of complete dismantle, parts cleaned, polished, coated with clear lacquer, two coats of museum quality wax on base, reassembled with some new parts, lubricated, and adjusted for long running. This Schatz clock features a two jeweled movement, leveling feet, a vintage replacement glass dome with smooth edge and a excellent pendulum locking devise. This is a spring wound clock capable of running 1000 days and can be fairly accurate for three months at a time when adjusted properly. NEW PARTS 1. A quality made German main spring. 2. New Horolovar suspension spring. 3. Special lacquer and wax for brass. This is a clock is from my private collection and my wife said something had to go so I'm having a red tag sale- item # 117 Free insurance is included. Amazing #54 1000 Day SCHATZ Anniversary Clock with original box, all paperwork and key. <br /> This clock was made in 1955 and looks to have never been used. I was at an elderly couples garage sale and spotted this. I asked if the clock was in the box. The lady said yes. We found it in the attic. Apparently we've had a 1000 day clock all these years and didn't know it! <br /> She said possibly they got it as a wedding gift but didn't remember having or ever using it! <br /> Anyways while the box and envelope with paperwork and key were opened before, it doesn't look like anyone ever completly

For auction a vintage Schatz 1000 day clock with glass dome and winding key. Measures 9 in x 6 3/8 in. These clock keep great time with their 2 jewels, huge main spring and tiny pivots, a must have for any collectors.The clock was fully dissembled, old finish stripped, polished, cleaned, lacquered, reassembled, oiled, and adjusted for long running. The clock has only been handled with gloves to eliminate oils and salts from direct skin contact with metal parts. First a note about other sellers here on ebay claiming to be selling REBUILT movements. They claim they install bushings but don't show it in their pictures...I asked them to show me the bushings they installed but they refuse to do so. Why? because there are no bushings to show!! Another claims his movements are rebuilt and then uses the term "recently serviced" which essentially means nothing...to me it could mean it was only oiled or adjusted but certainly not REBUILT. Another seller doesn't know how to keep the laquer from coming off the brass. If they don't know that they shouldn't attempt clock repair!! This all boils down to the fiddlers, tinkerers, and kitchen table mechanics calling themselves clock repairmen which they are not. antique Schatz 1000 day brass mantle clock series 1040. Condition is Used. This clock is in amazing condition and has been running since in my possession but that has not been 1000 days, but I would be suprised if it didnt continue to run. Shatz introduced their 1000 day clocks in 1954. There are two case styles: round base with glass or plastic dome, and rectangular base with brass cover having hlass or plastic panels. This clock has glass. The shatz 1000 day clock is based on their miniature 400 day movement with a larger mainspring, with about 2.5 times the amount of energy storage is used
