New Jersey Federal Inlaid Cherry Tall Case Clock C. 1800, the case labelled by John Scudder of Westfield” [MADE] AND SOLD BY/ JOHN SCUDDER/ CABINET-MAKER,/ WESTFIELD, 90 in. high, 18 ¾ in. wide, 9 7/8 in. deep. The broken arch scroll top bonnet with inlaid rosette terminals and inlaid center plinth with three original turned finials all with a contrasting inlaid circular band around the center. The glazed door opens to a painted iron dial from the Wilson, Birmingham foundry with floral corner spandrel decoration and a moving moon dial with a country scene, sailing ship, and two moon faces.

A lever on the side reveals 2 hidden winding arbors.The scene is extremely alluring as it is animated with automata automaton functions.On the left hand side, another lever reveals another hidden winding arbor. When wound, the water wheel spins, blacksmith’s arm moves, the fireplace spins, and the water appears to fall. The clock movement also has a music box attached that plays the song “God Save the Queen/My Country Tis of Thee.”The painting appears to be in overall good condition- some minor color loss on the frame.The movements were last serviced in 2018. Museum piece coming from a spectacular Westchester New York estate, with pleasure we offer you this large Antique French Egyptian Revival Marble & Bronze Portico Clock. Phenomenal example, comprised of black marble and bronze with different color patinas. Featured are sculptures and motifs of ancient Egypt, on pilaster columns are standing caryatids in form of King Tut sarcophagus in dore gilt bronze, while the dial is flanked with a pair of figures / statues of winged Sphinxes. Clock is topped with a large French Empire style gilt eagle sculpture. In center is the large white enameled dial with Roman numerals. The base is a black marble terrace, along the front bearing a long plaque with a fine cherubs / putti scene. This is a gorgeous Empire period early 19th century clock originally sold for over $7500. Authentic Hones German Black Forest 8 day Wood Chalet type Musical Cuckoo Clock
Hones’ cuckoo clocks are known for their elaborate detail and quality craftsmanship. They are handmade by skilled Black Forest clock makers with a reputation for high quality. This clock has the Association of the Black Forest Clock “VDS” certification sticker. “Made in Germany” is displayed on the dial. On the hour and 1/2 hour the cuckoo bird calls and the clock plays music (Edelweiss). The beautiful details extends from the front around to both sides of the clock. The trees are 3 dimensional. There are several moving features. A hunting scene which includes the hunter, his dog and a fox. Also there are two fighting bucks and the dancing towns people. There are three (heavy) weights shaped like pinecones. The pendulum as two painted birds. This belonged to my late father in law and worked fine. It needs a good dusting but I don't want to damage anything so I'll leave that to the new owner. (Condition: Pre-Owned)

I was notified by a very knowledgeable person who gave me some information on this clock. It is from the Federal Period and runs on what is called "T-Movement". Other then those the 2 issues this clock is all original and is in Excellent Condition. Please research other Banjo Clock of this Period and compare-This is a Special Clock! Except for what is mentioned this clock is in EXCELLENT CONDITION! With a little restoration and cleaning up this clock would have a incredible amount of worth! MEASURES: 33 1/2" x 10" x 4". eBay This Herschede Model 250 Grandfather Clock is an antique piece from late 20th century (1970-1999) made of Spanish Olive Ash material and finished with Ash. It has a traditional style with a wood frame, standing at 87 inches in height, 25 inches in width, and 15.25 inches in length. The clock is powered by a mechanical 8-day movement and has an analog display with Arabic Numerals.The clock features a Winchester chime sequence and is signed by the clock maker with an engraved signature. It is also signed by the brand Herschede and has the model number 250. The nine tubular bell movement, made entirely by Herschede, plays 3 chime tunes. Westminster (an exact duplication of the Westminster Abbey chimes), Whittington, and the exclusive to Herschede Canterbury Chimes .The 14-karat gold-plated dial was hand-engraved and even the rivets that affix the dial to the faceplate were silver-plated.
