It has a nice Lyre shaped Pendulum & Westminster Chimes with a Glass Window at the center of the door. The Dial is nicely Gilded with Porcelain Roman Numerals & 3 separate Keyholes to wind the clock. It has Beautiful Lion Paw Feet with Faux Tortoise Inlays in an Ebonized Lacquer Finish Case. The Clock has its original Franz Hermle Movement with Hammer Rods & Chime Rods. RARE RESTORED SETH THOMAS SONORA 8 BELL CHIME NO. 266 ANTIQUE MANTEL CLOCK 1914
CHIME CLOCK NO. 266 8-BELL - 1914 For offer and making a scarce appearance is this beautiful Seth Thomas Chime Clock No. 266 that has an 8 bell Sonora produced in the year of 1914. The original finish on the High-grade, very large and heavy mahogany cabinet is in excellent condition with very few character marks as the pictures will show. A beautiful shaded marqueterie (inlay) pattern below the dial, above the dial and around the base really makes this clock stand out as a one of a kind. This clock has a sticker marked 174 on the bottom. Not sure if this is the number of this model made or not but the hand writing is a lot nicer than mine is. This clock has a strong, smooth running, rebuilt 104 Sonora movement, that has had every pivot hole re bushed and is timed properly with the chime wheel and cam wheel. The Sonora movements function is for the quarter hours that the time and strike movement operates. It is designed to play Westminster continuous Whittington continuous or can be switched to alternate to hear Westminster Chime one hour and Whittington Chime the next hour. The 89N time and strike movement has been completely rebuilt replacing all worn pivot holes except for the time load gear and has also been timed properly for proper function of the time and strike of the hours. It has been keeping excellent, consistent time and functioning properly. The back of both of the movements have high polished brass plates making it difficult to take a picture without showing a reflection. The dial is a huge 8 inch convex etched silver dial with large black Arabic numerals that can be clearly viewed from a distance. Seth Thomas Spade shaped hour and minute hands. A polished brass sash and no scratches or chips on the original convex beveled glass. Both front and rear doors open and close properly as they should. This model is equipped with 8-Sonora patented resonated bells with silent chime lever to silence the quarter hours. A video has been added to see and hear each quarter hour followed by the full Whittington and Westminster chime with hour strike. The original pendulum bob with brass on one side and lead on the other side and the original large wing two-sided key come with the clock. This is a model that is not seen often in the ebay and public market and having the original bob and key along with being an 8 bell continuous alternate chime clock make this clock very desirable and highly sought after. Every aspect of this clock is fully functional. What I do to ensure you are buying a quality clock. Ø Disassemble the entire clock and movements myself completely. Ø Bush all worn pivot holes with Burgeon bronze bushings as needed. Ø Clean the entire movement ultrasonically. Ø Clean the original dial being careful not to alter its original condition. If the dial is to far gone, it will be professionally silvered and restored back to Seth Thomas dial specifications. Ø Clean bezel, parts and chime rods by hand. Ø Clean the outside of the original finish by hand with mild cleaners as well as the inside and apply a coat of wax by hand. Ø I will never alter the finish or farm out the clock not knowing what is being done to the clock. This does decrease the value of a clock. Ø Reassemble the clock, oil and lube in the proper places. Ø Adjust chime and strike hammer sequence properly to assure smooth and even strikes at each quarter-hour and hour. Ø Electronically regulate the beat and adjust the speed while the clock is level to ensure accuracy for many generations. Ø Inspect and adjust every minor detail of the clock assuring full function and peak performance for many years to come. Ø Test the clock for a minimum of two weeks to ensure peak and proper performance for the new owner. Ø Smoke free, pet free home. All clocks are cleaned removing odors. Ø Instructions for set up will be provided along with my contact number for on going support and discounted maintenance or repair for your clock in the future. McClintock 4 Dial Bank Clock Outdoor
This OB McClintock 4 dial bank clock was in the process of restoration when the owner passed away The framework is very good with very little rust. It was sandblasted and painted. The copper top and bottom are in very good condition with very minor dents. The 4 stain glass dials are fantastic. I’d grade them at 90 %. These are the not so common trimmed in brown and are absolutely beautiful illuminated. The bank logo glass on the top - 2 are in very good condition the other two will need work to repair as they got folded. I have what I believe is all the copper corner trim, all four doors are in excellent condition. I have the very heavy electric hammer strike for the chimes. If you have the slaves and the bells to set it up as original , I have a running Master Clock for it. The parts I know I don’t have: any of the slave movements or the hands as it was going to be electric motor converted. I don’t have the 5 chime bars. There may be incidental hardware pieces missing, screws, nuts, etc. To anyone interested in these clocks, this is not for an amateur. You know how beautiful these clocks are when they are assembled and functioning. The dials have to be worth $500 apiece, more if you had to have them made, and the framework and copper is in great condition. Electric Time in MA sells reproduction hands to fit on their modern electric motor system and the control box to operate them. I have one of these in front of my home, I get many compliments daily. This could be a magnificent focal point on one of your buildings. Depending on interest, I may be willing to break it up. For a municipality restoring one of these, the parts could be a godsend. eBay Up for auction is a Seth Thomas Sonora Chime No. 2000 ca. 1915 Running 8 Bell Project.The clock measures 16 X 12 X 9.The 8 day time and strike movement is stamped 89X and the rear chime movement is stamped 104E.The clock seems to run well, all the springs wind and hold tension.It only strikes when manually engaged by lifting the count arm or raising a lever.I took the chime unit out and it sluggishly strikes.the first hammer doesn’t want to work.This model plays both Westminster and Whittington Chimes.It’s missing the right side column and a column holder and a front piece of wood and an indicator hand that I know of possibly more?This model doesn’t come around often and is seldom seen. I’ve found 2 auction records for this model and the last one sold in 2022 @ Schmitt & Horans for $3400 Hopefully someone will want to restore this clock so I won’t have to part it out.Brand new this clock sold for $870.00, probably a small fortune in 1915.Examine the pictures, they are a large part of the description Winning bidder to pay shipping, insurance with signature confirmation. It would have been a little taller, but the tip of the top carved crest is missing. This Victorian Ithaca Parlor Calendar Clock is a No. 3 ½ and is constructed from Walnut with carved Ebony accents. It has a brass 8-day spring driven movement with hour strike on a silvered bell. There is a “count wheel strike mechanism” and the original silvered, etched glass pendulum. At the top is 4-inch clock dial with pierced spade silvered hands and at the bottom is a 7-inch, 31 day calendar dial with silvered date numbers, plus a revolving day and month window. All this is original and the brass bezels have the original glass. On the back are two replaced wood backboards …. I am not a knowledgeable clock dealer especially on a complicated clock like this. Both springs are wound tight and when I attached the pendulum it did work for a minute before stopping. I advanced the minute hand and it did strike, but the hammer needs adjusting to strike the bell. Antique Triple Fusee Bracket Clock with 5 Gongs

Movement has been cleaned, bushed, and oiled. Keeps perfect time all 7 days. Case is all original but does have a crack on top of case. Red material on inside of back door does have a couple of small tears. Dial looks like it is faded but original. Leather hammer tips have been replaced with new leather.
