The unusual, dark chip-carved oak case is stylistically a bit of a holdover from the previous century. The case has more of a 17th century look, not only by material and decoration but because of the slim waist and comparatively narrow hood and face.

This antique French lantern clock, crafted by Lefebvre in the style of King Louis XIV and with the Brass Crest of the same is a stunning piece of history. Its brass frame, hand painted ceramic roman numerals and iron details make for a striking design that is sure to impress any collector of decorative clocks. Approximated 8-day movement. The inner workings of this clock is are functional but it will need restoration. We plan to fully restore with an antique clock-smith in the PNW if it doesn’t sell as is. Dating back to 1720-1760 likely near 1740, it is a true testament to the craftsmanship of the time. Whether you are a clock enthusiast or simply appreciate the beauty of antiques, this piece is a must-have for any collection Restored this clock is likely worth between $7k-$15k at auction. A simply styled mahogany long case grand father clock made by Francis Corrall of Lutterworth England. The clock is in the original elegant mahogany case with a square top supported by a glass door over the face and a long wood door to the trunk opening to the pendulum on a plinth base. The Corrall family were famous Lutterworth clock makers in the 18th and 19th centuries. Francis Corrall was a watch maker prior to 1755 and made long case clocks like this clock from 1740 to 1760 and made. With over 100 clocks in my collection I am moving to smaller quarters and must part with some.  This is a fine example of a Morbier Comtoise single hand clock.  Dating these clocks is not an exact science but this one is from around 1720 to 1740.  It is a fine enough clock that sometime in the late 1700’s it was “updated” Behind the brass cartouche face there is evidence that this clock once had a brass or pewter chapter ring.  In addition there is evidence on the top of the clock that it had a post for a simpler copper or brass decorative top.  The clock r
