This antique French lantern clock, crafted by Lefebvre in the style of King Louis XIV and with the Brass Crest of the same is a stunning piece of history. The inner workings of this clock is are functional but it will need restoration. We plan to fully restore with an antique clock-smith in the PNW if it doesn’t sell as is. English/ Victorian Bracket Clock in the style of the 1st period (1690-1720)
Ca. 1880's Very Fine English Double ( Chain) Fusee Ebonized English 8 day Time and Strike Basket Top Bracket Clock in the style of the first period ( 1690-1720) . This as the pics will show is in excellent cond. for it's age . Mechanism has been gone through and is in very good condition and should stay that way for many years of use. Dial with Gilt spandrels and silvered engraved chapter ring is in excellent cond. as well. Runs very well and keeps accurate time. Now we all know that first period basket top Brackets are so expensive that 90 % of us can't even afford one so this is an excellent alternative . The quality of this is top notch and all the brass (gilded) mounts are in excellent condition as the pics will show. I can't overstate the excellent quality of this piece as I've owned quite a few Bracket Clocks in my time and this is right up there in that regard. This measures 17 1/2 inches tall (Including handle) x 11 inches wide x 8 inches deep. It is much more impressive in person but the pics will give you a good idea of the look and condition. Took pics in different locals and lighting but I can't seem to capture how nice it really is with a camera. c1700's Antique Lantern Clock Unusual Design Chain Driven Not Working
I know very little about this piece. Pictures of the parts and weight are attached, and I have no way of knowing if its missing any other pieces. I sent pictures to an expert in England who said it was unusual that the face was so ornate, and noted that the name on face was not a known clockmaker in London. He believed its from 1720 40 br />It is 14" tall X 9" wide X 6-3/4" deep.

With over 100 clocks in my collection I am moving to smaller quarters and must part with some. This is a fine example of a Morbier Comtoise single hand clock. Dating these clocks is not an exact science but this one is from around 1720 to 1740. Circa 1720 rare John Mercer-Hythe England clock for restoration
I bought in a local estate sale about ten years ago in western Va. Shenandoah Valley. Never researched it until recently. Apparently John Mercer was an English clockmaker in the early 1700's. The works turn freely and seem intact. The weighted cord seems original. I never cleaned it and everything is dingy from long-long storage. Any questions promptly responded.
