The clock has been fully tested including the alarm and does work. To set the alarm... use the switches on the bottom, and the red "cone" or button on the top of the head. Select Monitor Mode, set alarm hand, push the red cone on the head. Switch to Alarm. The loudness is controlled with the other bottom switch. The clock requires 3 AAA batteries NOT included.
