Vacheron Constantin Travel Clock 1930s
SOLD $1,500.00 Sold: Apr 21, 2025 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
This beautiful Vacheron Constantin travel/desk clock was purchased by my grandfather in the 1930s. It has a striking sky blue background and a gold case. The piece appears to be all original, and it works, keeping accurate time (see video). The piece is 1.5 inches tall, 1 inch wide and 5/8 inches thick. The outside back has the inscription "FABRIQUE POUR VACHERON & CONSTANTIN GENEVE N. 708". The bottom has a symbol (see picture) and the number 10380. The interior of the back plate has "ARGENT 0.985 80". The piece may be silver with gold plating. There are several rubies visible within the mechanical parts of the clock. In fine clocks and watches, rubies were used as mechanical bearings in place of metal since the former does not require periodic oiling. This is a stunning piece from one of the world's most revered makers of fine watches and clocks.I have more than 1000 feedbacks on eBay. I offer a full refund to any buyer for any reason. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
