Take this opportunity to own an OUTSTANDINGLY RARE & handsomely made monumental JUNGHANS Westminster mantle/table clock model #BO8, set into a RARE clock case in rosewood.Highest quality solid brass plate quarter strike 7-day wind three train suspension spring movement recently restored; 5 1/4 " inch diameter silvered chapter ring with Arabic numerals sets into a textured brass center; clock face surround is of tooled & stenciled brass face plate shaped in the cathedral design; clock face mounts to a solid rosewood wood case executed in the Cathedral Style; silent/chime &speed control levers located on clock face; 4 individual chime hammers play the Westminster melody with 5th chime hammer to sound the hours; all 5 hollow brass chimes rods mounted to cast iron sound sink located above movement; both movement & chime assemblies are mounted securely to case.Masterfully made Cathedral Style of solid & veneered rosewood case adorned with intricate inlayed boxwood decorative motifs; front wood frame arched front hinged beveled glass door with brass pull knob for friction fit; above front door is an impressive inlayed design of a festooned drape of inlays depicting flowers; additional inlay work is located on the raised front base area; front edge of clock case outline contains a solid brass round edge banding accenting the arched design; clock case sides have raised wood panels and each has a framed pierced brass sound screen with original fabric above which is a brass handle; rear door has brass slide latch & contains a pierced metal sound screen covered with original fabric; both front and rear doors open and close easily; clock case sets upon 4 solid wood round cushion feet; all wood trim fitted properly &securely fastened to case.
