DescriptionThis grandfather clock was manufactured by the Colonial Clock Co. in Zeeland, MI. It is from their Henry Ford Collection. It is Design No. 5060 and Serial No. 20 The full name on the clock face is "Tho's Jackson Preston". It is working and in original/excellent con-dition.The Henry Ford Museum Reproduction Program was the first of its kind to faithfully produce important, historic tall case clocks beginning in the early 1930's.This clock is a reproduction of one made by Thomas Jackson in Preston, Connecticut, circa 1760-1770.Made of choice tiger maple, the hood is embellished with whales' tail motif and has three finials resting on fluted plinths. The beautifully proportioned case also features a scalloped waste and intricately cut out baseboard. The solid brass face features delicate scroll work and has a fully functional second hand.This clock has an eight-day movement with Westminster chimes, chiming on the quarter hour.Amazing condition considering its age. A few minor scuffs, missing one motif on bottom. Weights need to be cleaned. Working properly. Buyer arranges pickup 0862986 high 17 debth 12 wide (Condition: Pre-Owned)
