This is a Rare Vintage Working 1948 CHELSEA CLOCK COMPANY Banjo Wall Clock Presentation Clock, Made by the Chelsea Clock Company Boston Mass USA for Shreve, Crump and Low Boston. This Has a Walnut Wood Case with Brass Side Rails, Reverse Painted Glass Tablets, and Decorative Gilt Eagle Finial Topper. The Lower Reverse Painted Glass Tablet is of the "Boston State House", and The Reverse Painted Throat Glass Has Colorful Decorative Deco Designs with Gilt Accents in Excellent Condition!!! The Dial is a Metal Dial with Arabic Style Numerals and Original Chelsea Hands, Signed "Chelsea" and "Shreve, Crump and Low Co. Boston". This has a Chelsea 8 Day Brass Mechanical Wind-Up "Time Only" Lever Escapement Movement, Which Winds From The Front. The Movement is Signed "Chelsea Clock Co. Boston USA 558639". It is a Key Wind Clock and Includes The Original Brass Chelsea Winding Key. This is a Presentation Clock, and has an Engraved Presentation Plaque Inside the Lower Door. The Brass Plaque Reads "Presented to Howard O'Frye on the Occasion of his Twenty Fifth Anniversary with General Foods Corporation with Deep Affection from the Walter Baker Staff November 15, 1950". The Clock is Large and Measures approx. 31 1/2" Tall x 8 1/4" Wide x 3 1/2" Deep. This is in Good Original Condition, As Pictured, Very Clean, Click and Enlarge Photos For Details. I am Not Sure, But There May Have Originally Been a Lower Ball on Each Side on the Base? Condition As Pictured. This is in Good Working Condition and Keeps Time But Has not Been Serviced, Sold As Found!!!
