CHIME NO. 92 – CIRCA 1924 Offered today is this beautiful Seth Thomas Chime No. 92 that was produced in the year of 1924. The mahogany wood case is in great condition as the pictures will show with a slight crazing in the finish showing that it has not been altered and pictures are never photo shopped. This clock has a strong, smooth running rebuilt 124 movement that has been keeping excellent time for the past few weeks. This clock comes with a nice raised bronze Arabic numbers on a gorgeous silvered dial which can be read from a distance and is considered an upgrade. Bronze serpentine shaped hour and minute hands. A broken arch molding along the front top half of the clock that has extended molding at the sides of the 3 and 9. No scratches on the original convex beveled glass and the machined clasp brass bezel and the back door opens and closes properly as they should. Mayland chime rods with chime lock are on this model and this movement features a silent chime option for the quarter- hours only. The original pendulum bob and the original two-sided key come with the clock. The original model label is also on the bottom of the clock which is frequently removed or comes off. Every aspect of this clock is fully functional. What I do to ensure you are buying a quality clock. Ø Disassemble the entire clock and movement myself completely.Ø Install Seth Thomas parts on the movement as needed (Before eBay, people used what they had available).Ø Bush all worn pivot holes with Burgeon bronze bushings as needed.Ø Clean the entire movement ultrasonically Ø Clean the original dial being careful not to alter its original condition. If the dial is to far gone, it will be professionally silvered and restored back to Seth Thomas dial specifications Ø Clean bezel, parts and chime rods by hand.Ø Clean the outside of the original finish by hand with mild cleaners as well as the inside and apply a coat of wax by hand.Ø I will never alter the finish or farm out the clock not knowing what is being done to the clock. This does decrease the value of a clock.Ø Reassemble the clock, oil and lube in the proper places.Ø Adjust chime and strike hammer sequence properly to assure smooth and even strikes at each quarter-hour and hour.Ø Electronically regulate the beat and adjust the speed while the clock is level to ensure accuracy for many generations.Ø Inspect and adjust every minor detail of the clock assuring full function and peak performance for many years to come.Ø Test the clock for a minimum of two weeks to ensure peak and proper performance for the new owner.Ø Smoke free, pet free home.
