Vintage! Rarer Than Hen's Teeth! Early Digital Mechanical Clock Radio GE 7-4605A
SOLD $356.93 Sold: Mar 31, 2025 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
This vintage clock radio is a rare find, Rarer Than Hen's Teeth! Made by GE around 1974, this early digital mechanical clock radio is packed with features such as a snooze alarm, AM/FM radio, and adjustable brightness. The clock is made of a combination of woodgrain, aluminum, glass, plastic, metal, and polystyrene materials, giving it a unique vintage/retro style. Measuring 12" in length, 6" in depth, and 4" in height, display is large at almost 4"L x 1-1/2"H this clock radio weighs 5 lbs and has a walnut finish. It is a special edition item with a model number of GE No. 7-4605A, manufactured in Singapore. This clock radio is perfect for collectors of antique clocks and those who appreciate the history behind early digital technology. Edited AI description above, and my human description below as follows;) Fully functional in original condition and nothing is missing. Hasn't been taken apart, cleaned, or monkeyed around with in any way. AM/FM switch and Volume potentiometer could probably use a bit of switch cleaner spray at some point. But, I'll leave that determination up to the buyer. Both controls still work fine. I'm a collector of clocks and an all-around electronics enthusiast. I've only seen one other example of this design in my life! Originally bought from an estate sale. I might look into making a video to show functionality and post it on YouTube. The clockwork (display) mechanism is amazing mesmerizing to watch when it changes on every minute and especially on the hour! This is NOT a common flip clock or anything similar to that. Feel free to make an offer and I'm happy to answer any questions. Thank you! (Condition: Pre-Owned)
