Very hard to find this model with days striking mechanism.The clock displays a hard wood frame with two clock faces and gear internals. The top of the piece shows a standard clock face with roman numerals for the hours. The bottom half of the piece shows a calendar tracker with days around the perimeter with days of the week and months towards the center. The front of the clock (lover dial) is marked with "CCICO” Horton's Patents. April 18, 1865 and August 28, 1886. Ithaca Calendar Clock Co. Ithaca, N.Y.Recently basic lubricated. Keeps very good time.The walnut case measures 21.25 long, 11.75wide, and approximately 4.75 deep. This case retains an older patina. Both dials measure 8 inches in diameter and are original to the clock. They are printed on paper and applied to a zinc pan. The lower dial bears the Maker's name and place location. It displays the day of the week, the month, and the calendar day. The month and calendar are displayed on rolls that are positioned behind the dial. The appropriate information is shown through the rectangular slots cut in the dial. Both rolls are also original to the clock and are in very good condition. The upper dial displays the time. It does have a couple of small tears in the paper. The movement is brass construction. It is powered by two eight-day springs. It is a time-and-strike design, striking the hour on a wire gong. The backboard is designed to allow one access to the mechanism.Not sure if keys are original but fits well no loosening.Clock of cause need adjustment time and day of the week and month by simple to open back wall and loosen pins for each application.
