Movemet is 8 Day , spring-driven movement, time only no strike Housed in a carved oak case, the design includes a turned crest piece, fish-scale carved frieze, and matching carved lower bracket, reflecting the ornate style of the era. Condition Description This handsome clock was inherited by a neighbor who ask me to sell it for them. I am no expert on antique clocks. I hung the clock and let it run for an hour. I did not to run it longer because I do not know the condition of the movement or spring. I am sure it has not been run in a long time. I am sure it should be cleaned and oiled. The clock is over 125 years old and still looks very elegant. The case has some minor areas where the finish is missing. a small medalion on one side is missing. The wood back of the clock has been replaced. The glass is puttied in so I believe the glass has been replaced. The wood around both dial has splits. Both dials show some wear like you would think of a clock of this age. I have tried to show the condition of the clock in the photos if you have questions or need more photos please contact me.
