Antique 10 3/4" Waterbury Open Escapement Mantle Clock Porcelain Dial
Antique 10 3/4" Waterbury Open Escapement Mantle Clock Porcelain Dial
SOLD $450.00 Sold: Feb 11, 2025 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
Up for consideration is a nice Vintage Antique Antique Waterbury Open Escapement Mantle Clock Porcelain Dial. Clock is approximately 10 3/4" tall by 7 1/4" wide by 5" deep and weighs approximately 8 lbs. Clock is in great condition for age, normal wear/patina, does have damage on the top from overweight item placed there over period of time (photo #8), dial has small chip by the 8, see photos. Clock runs well for several days on a good wind-up, keeps time, chimes on the half hour and hour. Comes with winding key, do not believe original. I believe this clock is the Waterbury "Landes" model. It was advertised in 1914-1915 for a price of $40.50 (over $1,200 in 2024 dollars). The polished mahogany wood pieces make it a real stand-out among otherwise similar all-brass options (see last photo). My standard listing lingo, please read in its entirety: Any questions, please ask PRIOR to bidding. Any defects not mentioned in the description but are visible in the photos are deemed to have been disclosed. I try to include any issues, but I am human and, on occasion, miss something. It is not intentional. Any errors observed in the listing, please let me know. As with any vintage item, it may need cleaning service to run perfectly and increase longevity. No warranties guarantees expressed or implied on this item. All of my items are sold "as is"... If this is an auction and there are no bids and you would like to make me a Buy Now offer, feel free to message me through Ebay with an offer. If there is an "or Best Offer," it is close to my starting price, so keep this in mind if submitting an offer. No low or half-price offers will be accepted. Because I have to choose a shipping service for the listing, I select economy shipping, but most often end up using expedited USPS Priority 1-4 Day or FedEx 4 Day (location dependent) for FREE, and insured! International buyers pay any additional shipping customs import fees. Payment is expected upon close of auction. I ship to PayPal confirmed addresses only. AK, HI, and West Coast residents may have to pay 50% of shipping fees. **Contact me prior to purchase.** Returns may be accepted if you pay my original shipping fees and any other fees applicable and if the item is in the same condition as shipped. If there is ever an issue, please contact me before leaving neutral or negative feedback. I take pride in my high positive feedback rating. Thank you, and happy bidding! (Condition: Pre-Owned)
