George Hills mirror clock
George Hills mirror clock
SOLD $575.00 Sold: Feb 14, 2025 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
We have for your consideration the following. George Hills mirror clock, Circa 1850. George Hills lived in CT and made OG-mirror wall clocks. This clock has a marine (lever-spring) movement. This clock has a Jerome-signed dial to match its Chauncey Jerome lever-spring 8-day, time-and-strike movement. The movement mounts upside-down relative to the clock and dial, but of course it does not matter in a lever-spring movement. The dial paint looks original, with only minor flaking, and has a signature. The hands are period with seconds bit. The case is approximately 42 inches long. The mirror is old, as is the dial glass. The clock is running and striking on an iron bell. Running 48 hours with no issues, not tested long term. There is no label , and no direct evidence that it was made by George Hills. No keyMake a fair offer.Clock is ready to go.Please see pictures as they are part of the listing. At your request i would take to the local UPS store and assist you in arranging contact and you would have them pack and ship for you and you would pay them directly. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
