Antique French Ornate Gilded Bronze Figural Clock 19th Century Japy Freres Works
SOLD $1,200.00 Sold: Jan 26, 2025 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
Fairly Heavy and Impressive French 19th Century Figural Gilded Bronze Clock with Ornate Hands in the Shape of Snakes and a Striking Japy Freres Movement, in Fully Working Condition Great, beautiful ornate and impressive bronze clock. The movement is fully functional, stamped with a Japy Freres medal and fairly clean. Ornate hands in the shape of snakes are superb (although the minute hand does have a well done repair on the back of it). The rear door is a replacement, everything else seems original. Bell and pendulum were removed to take a better picture of the movement, but both are included. I will include a key as well. Pictures speak for themselves but do let me know if you have any additional questions. The clock measures approximately 18.75" high, 12.75" wide and 9" deep. It is fairly heavy, international shipping on request only, depending on the destination.I am not doing any business, buying or selling, with anyone residing in Russia until Russia withdraws from Ukraine, no exceptions. This clock, like any other pendulum based clock, has to be put in-beat when setting it up after shipping, otherwise it may not run. There are many videos on line showing how to do this and I am happy to help with advice as well.I am not a clock dealer - I am a clock collector and a member of NAWCC. I currently have more than 200 clocks and I keep buying more, so I have to sell some. I would be selling many more if I had the time to list them...Je parle le français un peu. Si vous êtes français je vous encourage à me parler le français. Please note that I will not ship to an address that is different from the one listed by eBay or PayPal unless the winning bidder can really prove to me that the address is legitimate. My prefered shipping for this is FedEx Home Delivery - UPS has been very bad at handling packages lately. Please note that FedEx shipments require destination's phone number, if eBay does not have yours and you are concerned about releasing it to me, we can find an alternate method of shipping. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
