Up for sale is a lot of 2 Hamilton Model 21 Marine Ship Chronometer Clocks, both of which are not running. The 2-clocks are being sold for parts or restoration Also included is 1 Good Balance Staff which can be used to fix Clock N 7675 !The 2 clock movements are complete, but they do not run. Read more below:Clock N 7675: The balance wobbles because of a worn balance staff. However, the escape wheel and pinion are both GOOD. Also the Detent is GOOD. ALSO Included in this sale is a Good replacement balance staff part (see photo 2) which can be used to fix this clock. Interestingly this clock N 7675 can actually run if held dial facing downward (upside down) but does not run in normal face up position, due to the worn pivot on balance staff.The mainspring has been deenergized (let down) so it will be unlikely to be one damaged during shipment. A complete clock service and replacement of the broken balance staff can make this clock run again.The silvered bezel is very shiny and is in very nice condition. See photos.The glass is in good condition for its 80 years of age, with just a few fine scratches. See photos.Please follow the Exact Steps in the official Hamilton model 21 Chronometer Service and Repair manual to fix this clock! Skipping steps, or doing steps in wrong order can Destroy the fragile Detent spring and jewel. Read manual, and be careful !Clock N 2612: The balance wobbles because of a worn balance staff. See photos.The heavy brass clock case exhibits some scratches and dark tarnish. The large movement plates have some black gum near edges, and some scratches. See photos of N 2612 movement. The clock hands are all present and are in good condition for their age.Only the 2 non-running clocks and the Good replacement balance staff are being sold, exactly as shown in the photos.The mainsprings of both clocks have been deenergized (let down) so it will be unlikely to be one damaged during shipment. To avoid further damage to delicate parts inside clock, please do not attempt to wind-up or run these clocks. Please Repair them first !
