Up for your consideration is a rare Hubert Herr 8 day cuckoo clock. I have worked on many cuckoo clocks and have never run in to one that is quite like this. The first attractive feature is that it has a see through dial so that the movement is clearly visible from the face of the clock, allowing you to see it working. The case is hand painted, has wooden hands and numbers, and a wooden bird and pendulum. Before listing this clock I searched all over the internet and only found 1 picture of a clock similiar to this. It seems to be a low production model.When we received this clock, the movement was stripped down, had bushings installed and fully rebuilt to original or better standards as shown in the photos. The case is in beautiful shape and features a shingled roof, flower-like adornments and moving birds when it cuckoos in addition the the wooden cuckoo bird. The clock measures 13" tall by 12" wide. It also features a night shut off The clock has been testing since it was recently rebuilt and is looking for a new home. The chains have some color wear in one spot on both chains but are in excellent mechanical condition. This clock is an 8 day and only needs to be wound once a week. I don't think you will find one in this condition anywhere else. It's unique looking and a must have for any clock collector. Watch the video in the listing to see the clock in action.
