Stowell & Co., Boston, Mass.The clock is in a solid mahogany case with arch top, turned columns and recessed panels on the hood.The trunk with turned quarter columns, recessed side panels and beveled glass door.The clock base with recessed panel and applied carving and bracket feet.The clock has the brass dial with a silvered chapter ring and applied arabic numerals. Yes it is signed by retailer.Good glass, hands. The movement has the moon phase, subsidiary dials for seconds, chime, silent and Westminster, Whitington tune selection. All functional. Of course this is an eight day, three train movement driven by three brass weights. The movement is chiming the quarter hours and striking the hour on a set of bells and / or 4 wire gongs. The clock case retains its original finish in good condition with some blemishes. See pictures as they are part of the listing. The movement is signed "WH" and “Germany”. 25in x 98.5in x 16in approximately. Has key for the doors not for the movement. Has the 3 large heavy weights , pendulum and finial. Runs with no issue 8 days , not tested long term. Once moved to a new home it will need to be put in beat , leveled and gongs adjusted. If needed I would sell the clock without the case.
