SOLD $860.00 Sold: Jul 21, 2024 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
Amazing rare mahogany double-steeple Clock by Elisha Manross of Bristol, Connecticut, circa 1840-1845, with painted zinc dial, roman numerals, maltese hands, original top glass with period correct reproduction tablets (comes with original damaged lower tablet) great paper label which is mostly intact but faded inside case, and massive recently cleaned and oiled 8-day strap brass movement with fusee below mounted in attached iron & wooden frame. I do not run the clock due to lack of key, and its age & rarity but both fusee barrels seem to have spring tension and have been recently re-strung by someone. All of the finials are intact with very minor tip damage on one of them. Has both original door knobs and turning latches. Backboard is solid, tight and in great shape. No key. Stands 23 1/2 inches tall, 13" wide and 4" deep. Shipping with be by Fedex Ground and double-boxed. Shipping costs will be actual based on weight and buyer's zip code. Estimated shipping could be between $50 and $130 depending. This is a reserve auction. Text questions and picture requests to 6306083978. Thank you. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
