Victorian conversion of a Carolean Restoration period signed lantern clock @ 1670. The case is signed by a very celebrated maker, and has a great look. The case was converted to a table clock with a double chain fusee spring driven movement in Victorian times @ 1880, as was very common. This one is very well done, and has an outstanding appearance. Ready to set up and enjoy. The 8 day double chain fusee movement is complete and intact, and runs and strikes well, but is sold without any warranty. The movement strikes the original large silvered bell on the top of the case, and sounds wonderful. With original pendulum and appropriate winding key. Measures 15 1/2" tall x 6 1/4" wide x 5" deep, and weighs 15 pounds. Outside diameter of the dial is 6 1/4". UPS ground shipping in the continental USA will be $45.00 (Condition: Pre-Owned)
