Beautiful antique clock. From an estate of a clockmaker, and it works exactly as it should as it was serviced by them. They are downsizing. It will be shipped very carefully. Please reach out with questions or make an offer.This wall clock was made by the New Haven Clock Company of New Haven Connecticut. New Haven was in business from 1853 and like most good companies closed their doors in 1960's.Winnipeg is the largest city and the capital of Manitoba Canada.This is an 8 day spring driven striking movement. It counts out the hours on a cathedral gong. Movement has been completely cleaned and overhauled and is in guaranteed running condition. See video below images for demonstration of strike sound.The case is a beautiful Walnut. 3 top turned finials adorn the head and 3 turned finials adorn the bottom. On the top, sides, and bottom there is carved decor to adorn the clock.Original reverse painted glass on the door. On the back there is hand painted red which looks pink on the front, black, and a dark turquoise. Gold reverse on the front with a montage of florals, palm trees, a little sparrow, and Greek style surround the pendulum window.Paper dial with black Roman numerals.There is a partial or what is left of a label on the back.Brass pendulum Dimensions are Height 36" (29" without finials), Width 12.5", Depth 4.5", and Weight 15 lbs.Circa 1880I believe this to be a fairly scarce clock. I have never before owned or even seen one. Overall, a very clean and nice example.
