Antique New Haven/ Litchfield NAVY model clock -1853 Antique New Haven/ Litchfield NAVY model clock -1853 Click images to enlarge Description This NAVY model wall clock was first introduced around 1849 by the Jerome Clock Company which features a beautiful paper mache by The Litchfield Mfg. Co. Litchfield, Ct. This version is marked New Haven and most likely dates to 1853 when the the company names changed to New Haven. This clock has received a complete professional restoration. The time and strike lever escapement movement was addressed by certified clock maker and the worked included, hand rolled springs to achieve the correct tension, cleaning, pivot polishing, bushings as needed. assembly and adjustments. A certified conservationist addressed the case by securing the joints, cleaning pained surface and in painting where needed. Note the use of Mother of Pearl to high lite the images. The dial is obviously original with the wear commensurate with the age. These are very scarce clocks as I have only seen 3 in 50+ years of collecting.
