This Howard & Davis Banjo Clock #4, manufactured in the 1850s, is a stunning piece of decorative collectible that will add a touch of elegance to any room. Provenance tied to the Miller lighthouse in Charleston Bay prior to the start of the Civil War. The clock was captured from the lighthouse by confederate forces, and kept by that soldier throughout the War. A wonderful piece of history. Clock has been running the past three years or so. All glass looks to be original, but probably repainted middle and bottom panels at some point. Dial is original, along with hands, weight, pendulum and bob. The case looks good and shows some graining to the wood. (There has been a repair to the bottom of clock. Most likely from weight drop through.). Keeps very good time. All in all, a nicely kept and cared for piece of history. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
