Antique French Empire Paris Porcelain Clock Silk Suspension Movement, ca 1840
Antique French Empire Paris Porcelain Clock Silk Suspension Movement, ca 1840
SOLD $500.00 Sold: Feb 27, 2024 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
Ornate and Colorful French Empire, Early 19th Century Porcelain Clock with a Striking Silk Suspension Signed Movement, in Fully Working Condition Nice early 1800's French Empire clock. As always, this type of a clock is in two parts - clock base and a figural top. The movement is fully functional and signed, fairly clean and runs well. Ornate bronze bezel. There was never a glass on the bezel on this clock, these were meant to sit under a glass dome. Gentleman's left hand has been repaired (well done repair, though) and the dial has faint hairlines. Other than that the clock is perfect. Bell and pendulum were removed to take a better picture of the movement, but both are included. I will include a key as well. Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. The clock measures approximately 16" high.I am not doing any business, buying or selling, with anyone residing in Russia until Russia withdraws from Ukraine, no exceptions. This clock, like any other pendulum based clock, has to be put in-beat when setting it up after shipping, otherwise it may not run. There are many videos on line showing how to do this and I am happy to help with advice as well.I am not a clock dealer - I am a clock collector and a member of NAWCC. I currently have more than 200 clocks and I keep buying more, so I have to sell some. I would be selling many more if I had the time to list them...Je parle le français un peu. Si vous êtes français je vous encourage à me parler le français. Please note that I will not ship to an address that is different from the one listed by eBay or PayPal unless the winning bidder can really prove to me that the address is legitimate. My prefered shipping for this is FedEx Home Delivery - UPS has been very bad at handling packages lately. Please note that FedEx shipments require destination's phone number, if eBay does not have yours and you are concerned about releasing it to me, we can find an alternate method of shipping. (Condition: Pre-Owned)
