Antique Granddaughter Clock Late 1800’s
SOLD $149.99 Sold: Feb 11, 2024 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
This antique standing West German made granddaughter clock is a true treasure from the late 1800s. Crafted from beautiful wood, it exudes a unique charm that collectors will appreciate. This clock is a wonderful addition to any collection and will undoubtedly impress guests with its intricate design and historical significance. This clock was given to me by a friend and it originally belonged to his grandfather who owned a jewelry, watch and clock shop back in the day. This is all I know about it except for my own research and knowledge. This clock is mostly about the clock wood casing. This clock has a full front glass door with the original glass with all the unique waves and dimples that only antique glass can have. The clock dial face is gone, I’m not sure if this is the original mechanism inside but you can see the mounting of it is not. On the mechanism it says: India, no (0) Jewels. The mechanism does work, there are two keys ( one key, double sided, says West German 75-282) and I gave it a quarter turn and it moves like it should. It has all the original flathead screws all around the back and on the hinges. The clock stands 5’-3”H x 22”W x 7”DPendulum pole is 23” small weight is 4” and the large is 8”across. The clock weighs 57 Lbs. and with the two weights 65Lbs. It is a beautiful original casing with beautiful wood working, very strong and sturdy. Would be a great looking piece with a little TLC. I will list some sort of shipping but we can work that out or porch pick up in the 48316 zip code. No free shipping.Thank you for looking ? (Condition: Pre-Owned)
