eBay Exquisite Antique PH Mourey Neo-Classical Gilt/ Porcelain Mantle Clock w/ Key. 20 3/4” tall with wooden base. Base is 7” wide. Clock is 5 5/8” wide.Classic Grecian muse posed with pedestal, scrolls, lyre and an oil lamp with two cascading chains. The draping of the patterned gown outlines every curve of the body. Porcelain clock and side panels are hand painted in serve style. Each inside panel has blue writing. Clock has gold painted 5 minute intervals and twin key encasements. The striker on the bell makes a sweet chime. It may need to be calibrated. Clock has original key.The gold gilt spelter frame work in impeccable. No cracks, repairs or missing pieces. The entire piece rests on a wooden stand with dark blue velvet that has wear over the years. The gilt plaster molding on the edge has minor chipping. Marking:** Back of pieces is stamped “12 PH Mourey 77”. * Back metal ring is incised with 9597. * Inside clock back is stamped 1545. * Underside of wooden base in pencil “87, 3/30 , toile 10” (not sure about the word), red colored 82.Beside the writing on the backside of porcelain panels, I see no other marks. Some casting imperfections throughout. Missing glass for dial bezel on front and back. Clockworks appear to be fine with only minor dust.
