eBay High-quality German solid brass plate quarter strike 7-day wind two train suspension spring movement in restored condition; combined silvered & textured brass faceplate contains stately Arabic numerals; chimes on 2 melodious coiled gongs (gong assembly is also signed by Furtwanger); both movement & gong assemblies are mounted securely to case Masterfully made high quality solid walnut case adorned with intricately carved wood decorative elements; original round front glass viewing panel door (latching device mounted to side of case); rare and second front arched viewing glass panel door accesses the pendulum area (door latches with a hook mounted to the side of the clock case);both front doors are decorated with spiral half columns; both side panels contain hinged door openings containing decorative pierced wooden sound grilles that are latched from within the clock case; both top & bottom front doors open &close easily; top of clock case is slopped on three sides angled to the wall; 2wood carved finials decorate the lower roof area while the top of the clock roof contains a 3 sided wood carved balustrade; clock case is intended to be viewed from its front and 2 sides as can be seen in the photos, a very rare and desirable design feature for an exceptional wall clock; all wood trim is fitted properly & securely fastened to case. Chiming correctly & running on time DIMENSIONS: height 41” x width 13 ½” x depth 8 ½”I am an antique clock collector wishing to reduce my clock collection.I am NOT a retailer.This clock comes from my collection & has been running successfully for several years with no difficulties. It has been tested prior to this offering. Clock set-up to establish the correct “beat” is paramount to the clock’s operation, accomplished through placement & leveling (sometimes with rotating the movement while in the clock case). Additionally, temperature & humidity may affect it over time as well. Do not over wind a clock. Lastly, I cannot not guarantee the clock’s operation once shipped. I do take pride in my reputation as a seller and buyer of these clocks.All shipments will be wrapped in bubble wrap (key & pendulum wrapped separately) set tightly into box containing Styrofoam peanuts, tapped shut& then placed into second box filled with padding for added protection, taped shut on all sides.Please ask any questions regarding this item; responses will be made as quickly as possible.No international shipping.
