SETH THOMAS NO. 2 WALL REGULATOR "1976 RE-ISSUE" LIMITED TO JUST 4000~RUNNING!!
SOLD $440.00 Sold: Nov 12, 2023 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
eBay SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. THOMASTON CONNECTICUTNO 2 WALL REGULATOR (FACTORY REISSUE 1976)Up for bid is superbly built 1976 Seth Thomas No. 2 Wall regulator Reissue in Near Mint condition with slight wear. This is personally the first reissue No 2 that I have seen or owned myself, but I have sold and do own quite a few of the originals. These clocks were made and marketed to serious collectors. Seth Thomas marketed the release of this clock through the publication of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) called the "Mart". Only 4000 total of these were made and they were numbered on a certificate inside of the case, this one being # 1721. In my opinion sadly, this is the last true collectible clock made by Seth Thomas celebrating over 70 years of the production of the No. 2 Regulator anywayAfter taking the clock apart basically, I can tell you that this is a very high-quality timepiece! They honestly weren't messing around when they did this reissue. The clock is mostly comprised of solid oak (as compared to oak veneer in the originals). The movement is a "true to the original" ST61 Rectangular Movement, which is signed with a large ST and numbered. The pendulum and weight and key are all top notch and come with the clock. You will not be disappointed in this well-done reissue. 36 inches in length.Good luck to the highest bidder!! We are starting this auction at just $1 with NO RESERVE, this clock will SELL!!We will be sending this clock double boxed to insure this beauty arrives in one piece.
