eBay This listing is for a rare French mystery/swinger clock.This masterpiece dates to the late 19th century and is made from cast bronze. The clock was made in the traditional allegorical form inspired by ancient Greek and Roman mythologyThe clock movement is signed “R.”The entire clock measures 7 x 20.75 x 7 inchesThe base of the statue measures 5.5 x 5.5 inches It appears to be in overall good condition. Some tarnishing from age. The top ball (dial and back cover) has some slight indentation. It appears to be normal wear from pressing together the front and back when opening and closing the back cover over time. To elaborate, the back of the top ball/dial can be taken off, revealing the movement. When returning the back cover onto the top ball/dial, it must be pressed to close.The movement was last serviced in 2011. We recently tested it and it did not stay running. The spring is good.
