eBay I believe this clock is made by Hönes of Germany but there is no markings on the clock stating this so I cannot guarantee this. It is marked Germany on the face. It looks identical in craftsmanship and style to all others I've seen made by Anton Schneider. That being said it is a stunning very unique animated clock in every way. Make sure you watch the video of it running through it's cycles. On the hour it cuckoo's and then plays one of two melodies ( Edelweiss R. Rodgers or Der Frohliche Wanderer) Each every other hour. As the music plays the water wheel turns and the hugging boy and girl's heads turn back and fourth to look like they're kissing each other. The top chalet dancers spin/turn around in the classic style. Beautiful wooden cuckoo bird is a nice touch. Has a lever on the bottom to turn off the cuckoo function for nighttime use. Lots of awesome detail and colors on this one! It's a true show piece and will make a wonderful addition to anyone's home. Please look at all of the pictures as they are part of the description. This clock should be oiled by you when you receive it for optimum long-term operation. This is a recommended annual maintenance for mechanical clocks. Due to the nature of mechanical clock after shipping you will need to make adjustments to the clock in order for it to run properly and consistently when set up in your home.
