eBay Vintage Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos Clock Gilt Brass Swiss Mvt 15 Jewels Description: Vintage Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos Clock Gilt Brass Swiss Movement Inscribed at top of face “LeCoultre” Inscribed behind face center “Fifteen 15 Jewels VxN Switzerland Unadjusted LeCoultre CIE” Rose gold plated brass finish. Face: Circular white surrounded by gilt brass markers, Arabic numerals, hour and minute hand. Clock Case: Rectangular glass case with gilt brass canted frame that lifts off from the base with feet. Plate on bottom of case has an inscription as to the recipient of this clock in 1962. Serial Number: 148569 (For this serial number online reference states models 526-6, 528 years 1960-1980 - Clock gifted in 1962) The atmosphere causes the clock to wind automatically without human intervention ie perpetual motion. Set Up: Set up instructions enclosed that I received from A Gunlap Horologist who serviced this clock in 2-2021. Dimensions: Base: L 8.25” x W 6.5” x D 1.25” Base and Clock: L 8.25” x W 6.5” x H 9.25” History: “Manufactured in same factory in the Jura Mountains in Switzerland Since 1930’s by highly skilled, master clockmakers and watchmakers.” “The roster of VIP’s who have received an Atmos reads like a Who’s Who of the 20th Century history: Jordan’s King Hussein, England’s Queen Elizabeth and Winton Churchill, France’s Charles de Gaulle, American President John F Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, and Pope John Paul II to name a few.” Condition: Excellent running. Newly Serviced (cleaned, polished and pallet fork set by A Gunlap Horologist on 2-09-2021. Gilded Brass Case frame shows some signs of wear Glass very good condition.
