RARE SETH THOMAS "HOTEL" MANTLE CLOCK ~RUNS & STRIKES ~ EX. TIGER OAK CASE!
SOLD $613.00 Sold: Nov 17, 2023 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
eBay SETH THOMAS CLOCK CO. HOTELUp for bid is a gorgeous Quarter Sawn Oak cased Hotel Mantel Clock by Seth Thomas. This is absolutely one of the hardest to find and best- looking Seth Thomas Clocks that I can think of and one of my personal favorites. Rarely auctioned offered or seen, this beautiful c. 1888 clock, with individually carved sculptures on the side panels is going to be sold to the highest bidder starting at just $1!! This clock is coming from my personal collection as we are downsizing to make a big move to Texas in the near future. The clock features a massive Seth Thomas Signed and Dated, 8 Day Time and Cathedral Gong Strike, spring driven movement in a unbelievable Tiger Oak case with excellent graining that you will only see on these 100-year-old clocks. The dial is an original painted Seth Thomas Dial that is in more than decent shape considering most of these dials are replaced or repainted at this point. The clock has original finish and has been nicely cleaned and waxed, as you can see in the photos it is stunning! There has been an access port added to the back for ease with hanging the pendulum which is very difficult to do because you have to remove the movement to do it in this model. We will remove the pendulum to ship this clock. The clock stands about 18 Ht. x 14 W x 7 D inches. This is truly an opportunity to add one of Seth Thomas's rarest Mantle Clocks to your collection. Most of these clocks are locked down in Private collections and never reach public auctions, I am choosing to sell this one on Ebay and see what happens. We will be starting this clock at just $1 and let it go to the highest bidderSHIPPING THIS ITEM TAKES UP TO 10 BUSINESS DAYS TO FRAGILE PACK AND SHIPPAY FOR YOUR INVOICE WITHIN 24 HOURS OR WE WILL RELIST THE ITEM (Condition: Pre-Owned)
Note: This item has been sold and is no longer available. This page serves as a historical price reference for clocks collectors and appraisers.
