eBay Vtg Antique 1886 Ansonia Bouncing Jumper Bobbing Girl Doll on Swing Clock -WORKS Offered for sale is an Antique Ansonia Jumping / Bouncing Doll Clock.WORKS - Great looking clock.We’ve had this wound and running for a day and it keeps time.Not sure if it would lose or gain time after a day or two, but goodfor the period we watched it. The girl continued to bounce upand down as intended.Spring driven one day timepiece movement (likely a 30 hour).Marked on face: Patented - Dec. 14th - 1886Bottom of the dial reads: Ansonia Clock Co. Sole Manufacturers, New York USA.We believe this is the earliest date face for these clocks.Measures 15 1/4” inches in height, 5 1/4” width, and 2 3/4” depth.Base measures 5 1/2” inches.Face of the clock measures 4” inches across.Doll measures 3” inches in height.In Good Condition.No cracks, breaks, or chips to the glass. Metal exhibits expected wear from age. This includes normal patina, scratches, and minor dents in the base, etc. The face of the clock has discolored with age. The second hand had caused somewear to surface. We’ve made no attempt to clean the face, or do any type of restoration.The end of the spring where the doll attaches is ‘clumped’. Not sure if it’s suppose to be like this or could be ’stretched’ out. Works great as-is.We believe the doll is original to the clock line, but unsure. She must have taken a tumble at one time, as both arms were broke and repaired - definitely a vintage repair.The string appears to have been replaced.
