eBay JAEGER LECOULTRE CLOCK CO. ATMOS "MARINA" 526-5 CAL.ATMOS V "CHINOISE" PRESENTATION CLOCK OWNED BY FAMED NASA ENGINEER Dr. Chris Kraft, ALSO KNOWN AS THE FATHER OF NASA'S MISSION CONTROL!!! Up for bid is a true historical timepiece. Not only is it one of Jaeger Lecoultre's most popular Atmos Models of all time (the Marina), but it also just so happens to be that it was owned by one of NASA's most famous Engineer/ Flight Directors Dr. Chris Kraft. Presented to Dr. Kraft in 1971 for a speaking engagement at the St. Louis Elks Club the clock was purchased by me (as huge history and Early NASA Fan) in Dallas from Dr. Kraft's estate auction in 2021. Presentation plaque is removable. We are moving to Dallas in a few months, and I am downsizing my personal collection, this clock will be of interest to Clock AND NASA collectors! The clock being offered is one of Jaeger LeCoultre Co. most popular designs known as Marina named after the artist / inventor. The artist had developed a special technique that engraved and colorized the plexiglass panels in a way that you can see a 3-dimensional motif. The clocks came in four different motifs, this one is known as " Chinese Landscape" This clock is in Ex+ Cond. with almost no scuffing, blemishes or discolorations to the factory lacquer. Plexiglass panels have some common crazing on the edges. The clock is 100% completely original. The clock has been recently serviced and is running vigorously. (We cannot guarantee that it will keep accurate time or that it won't need servicing after shipping. ) The clock dimensions are 9" tall x 7 1/2" wide x 5 1/4" deep.These clocks are being listed on Ebay for as much as $3000 to $7500 with some of these listings advertised as "NOT RUNNING"!
