Antique Original Rare Seth Thomas Santa Fe City Series Mantle Pendulum Clock
Antique Original Rare Seth Thomas Santa Fe City Series Mantle Pendulum Clock
SOLD $850.00 Sold: Sep 18, 2023 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
eBay If you collect hard to find clocks, or collect Seth Thomas City Series clocks, you may be interested in this clock. It is not an easy clock to find, and I would consider it a rare clock, as it must have been fairly expensive when it sold new. This clock is unusual (especially for Seth Thomas clocks) in that it has very elaborate carvings, including the feet, as well as a number of silver metal leaves and berries, all of which appear to be intact. It is walnut, and still has its old, original finish. I have not attempted to clean or refinish the case. I will leave it up to the new owner, but it would be beautiful refinished! It is gorgeous now as it is now though! The case is near perfect - we cannot find anything broken or missing. The clock appears to be very original, including the movement, door glass, pendulum and dial. Unsure about the face?? We have no keys but clock does run and chime as it should. The clock was manufactured in 1888 in Thomaston, Connecticut. The clock will need some adjustment after shipping. Took all the photos I could to show every area of the clock. Please feel free to ask questions as we are not collectors, but will try to answer as best we can. Item will be fully insured and overpacked. Lovely old piece for collection or display! (Condition: Pre-Owned)
Note: This item has been sold and is no longer available. This page serves as a historical price reference for clocks collectors and appraisers.
