This very fine Le Coultre 8 day travel clock was presented by the officers and crew of the WWII U.S.S. O-7 to there Captain on 5-21-45 as inscribed. This O Class submarine was commissioned in 1918 and served in both WWI and WWII before being scrapped in 1946. Its commanding officer, Captain R. Freundlich, also served on several other submarines during WWII. These subs included the USS Sperry, USS Scamp, USS Barracuda and the USS Halibut. It's obvious from the clock’s current condition that the Captain took extremely great care of the gift from his crew members. In my opinion this vintage Le
