Antique Dutch "Nu.Elck Syn.Sin" wall clock, needs a little work, all parts there
SOLD $175.00 Sold: Feb 20, 2020 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
This particular style of Dutch wall clock originated in the 17th or 18th century. It was labeled "The rich man's clock" and was created by Warmink Zaanse and Franz Hermle. "Nu.Elck Syn.Sin" is translated in two different ways that I've seen online. "Now to each his own" and "Every man to his taste" are what I've seen.Mythology lends us Atlas (carrier of the universe) who stands atop this beautiful piece of history with the world on his shoulders. As far as I can tell all of the decorative pieces are present. Sadly, the only recent history of this clock is that it was owned by an elderly person
