You are bidding on a Rollimat German made pivot polisher used by watchmakers and clockmakers. It uses a fine carbide wheel to easily and quickly polish clock pivots. It is in good operating condition.<br />The set-up includes a Boley 8mm watchmaker's lathe with headstock and tailstock (no tool rest), a high torque DC electric motor (110 volt) and a speed control (AC/DC converter as well). Everything (except the speed control) is mounted to a plywood base. 5880, Vintage & fine Boley Jewelers lathe, 8 mm w/collet tailstock, grt runner.
The motor is in great condition and I just rewired the connections so it is good to go. The lathe is the standard 11" long and it is 10" from front to back. It was as you can see, well maintained and cared for.

BOLEY Cross Slide for 8mm watchmaker lathe
BOLEY Cross Slide for 8mm watchmaker lathe in very good condition. i'm not an expert at measuring backlash but the bottom slide seems to be (I think this in 10th of a mm) 4 10th on the top and bottom slide. The cross slide is very smooth in X and Y for the full length of travel. I will try to answer any questions as best I can. I got a question regarding the notch in the top slide. It looks like it was intentionally cut in the slide but I have no idea if that's factory or if someone modified it. This is how I acquired the cross slide.
