Now ready to last another lifetime.This clock was recently acquired from an estate collection, and the original design of the Pepsi logo was completely crackled (see the photos for comparison). It then was professionally restored (hand painted) over the old design exactly as it was originally. No filling of the crackle.... all of that is still there, but the colors are completely now uniform and visible with no obliteration. This is still an original face. The clock required a new neon tube on the outside, and a replacement (New Old Stock) original Synchron Motor (pictures show the improvement. New wiring and cloth covered long cord... and the addition of a pull chain switch to allow the clock to be on, but the neon to be turned on or off at will. The entire housing was repainted as well. This is set to sit upright on any table or counter... or hang from any sturdy wall hook by its rear bracket... or hang suspended vertically from any higher elevation by the attached chain. (see picture of back)All in all, you won't find one of these around in this lifetime again. Very Unique, and RARE as all you real collectors know. Â I was told it came from a long for gas station in Sparkhill NY. Â New movement and works flawlessly with I believe they call it a hammered metal type of paint. American Cancer Society eBay Other Items Feedbacks About Us Contact Us Add To Favorites ITEM DESCRIPTION: Here we have an ultra rare Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos Borne perpetual mantle clock from the mid 1960's. This clock is made by one of the best clock/watch makers in the world that are still in business today. This particular clock was a rounded top variation of the Atmos model and is quite hard to find in today's market. We believe this one is a slightly later model since 'LeCoultre' is the only portion of the name printed on the dial, thus making the production date from 1964-66. The case seems to be made of brass while the crystal is made of plexiglass. The clock movement itself seems to run on its own for a little while before stopping, so it made need some adjustments or servicing. The clock movement, as stated before, is not in peak running condition. It will run and keep time for about an hour or so before stopping. It may just need some minor adjustments to the pendulum or cleaning. The hands set the time, but the little crown sometimes has trouble turning them. The locking mechanism on the bottom locks the pendulum as it should. The plexiglass crystal looks to be in good condition with some slight scuffs. The brass case shows some scuffs and scratches here and there as well as some very light tarnishing. Due to the fragility of the clock and its movement, we are requesting the buyer to pick it up from our shop. If further interested, we can potentially ship it. The beauty of this kinetic, industrial themed clock made the decision easy to determine that it should be restored and was sent to Kinetico Studios in Eureka Springs, Arkansas for restoration by Terri Bradt. Current restoration charges are $1500.00. This restoration was a labor of love for the sculpture itself and desire to see it be enjoyed for generations to come by the next owner. Chelsea Clock Tiffany &Co. Red brass Beehive Case. Antique Circa 1919
eBay Antique Chelsea Beehive Mantel Clock retailed by Tiffany &Co. Circa 1919. Comes with a Chelsea Certificate of Origin verifying the serial number and that it was sold to Tiffany & Co. The clock stands 10.5" tall (with feet attached) The clock's base is 7" wide x 4" deep (feet not included in measurement). Clock has a 4-1/2 inch bezel. What is awesome about this clock is that it has a standard chime, striking once on the half hour and the correct number of times on the hour. It has a deep chime that resonates nicely. From my experience it is rare to find Chelsea clocks with a standard chime. The serial number of the clock is 129721 and was made in 1919 (104 years old). The clock has a red brass beehive case. The bezel and feet are in yellow brass which contrast beautifully against the red brass. The brass was professionally restored (polished and clear coated). There are a couple of small dimples in the brass on the front of the case near the base, and a ding on the backside of the case on the right side near the top. The movement was professionally over hauled and the dial re-silvered. The glass was replaced with a piece cut from new old stock. Clock runs great, looks great and sounds beautifully. The posted photographs are an important part of the physical description, closely view all of them using the zoom feature, so you may judge for yourself the condition, quality and age of the clock. Vintage Jaeger LeCoultre Atmos Clock 540 SWISS 24K gold plated bronze frame NOSFrom my late fathers estate. He got this as a gift in I think 1988 and never used it, said it just wasn't his "Style", lol. I do not know anything else about it. I do know its been in the box until I took pics of it, so will it need service after sitting for so long? I just don't know.Item under consideration is a 9 inch Tall, ATMOS (atmospheric) CLASSIC MANTLE CLOCK, Serial Number 651946 with a jeweled 540 movement and a gilt gold rectangular case. Produced in 1987 by Jaeger LeCoultre located in Geneva, Switzerland. Clock is glass encased with a 24K gold plated bronze frame. Has a Rare Square dial with a gold gilt bezel, applied gold Arabic numerals and indexes positioned on a lacquered white faced dial, 13 jewel 540 movement, and a locking mechanism for transport. The clock is equipped with a glass bubble level and two adjustable front feet to assist in the leveling of the clock, necessary for accurate operation. Clock is working smooth as it should and keeping good time, without fail. Note: Clock is NEW OLD STOCK, never used, never activated and placed in storage. Atmos Clock operation: The Atmos clock operates with no external power source use, never needs to be manually wound by hand or require use of a suspended weight, as most pendulum clocks do. Instead, the Atmos clock gets its power to operate from minute changes in atmospheric temperature. No batteries, no electricity, no manual windings. Extremely accurate and silent. The technical principle behind the Atmos operation is a beguiling one; inside a hermetically sealed capsule is a mixture of gas and liquid which expands as the ambient temperature rises and contracts as it falls, causing the capsule surface to move like a concertina. This motion is utilized to wind up the clock’s mainspring. A variation in temperature of one degree C provides sufficient energy for 48 hours of clock operation. The Atmos is specifically designed and built so that there is minimal resistance opposing this small amount of created energy.
