Rare Antique Richard Ward Salem Bridge Shelf Clock, 8-Day, Weight Driven. Ward was one of the later Salem Bridge makers. He took over the Sylvester Clark factory when Clark retired in 1835. He continued in business until 1845. Around 1840, he redesigned the movement to be mounted to the weight channels instead of a seatboard. This is one of the later clocks with the elongated rectangular movement. I believe this model of movement may be quite rare, and no example can be found in the NAWCC Supplement 13 on Salem Bridge clocks. This example is in very nice condition. I don't see any problems wit
