This is an extremely Rare J. Cauderay Electrically Impulsed Clock from the late 19th. Century. J. Cauderay was an electrician from Lausanne, Switzerland, who became established in Paris. Unlike other early electrically impulsed pendulum clocks Cauderay used a very large decorative balance wheel with hairspring. The electro-magnet coils act on a mass fixed to a vertical shaft. The contact is derived from the Hipp Toggle. The motion works, silk wound electrical wiring, and brass mount all appear to be original and in superb, almost like new condition. 'The clock that works on air'. Produced in 1987 by Jaeger-LeCoultre located in Geneva, Switzerland.Clock is glass encased with a 24K gold plated bronze frame. Has a Rare Square dial with a gold gilt bezel, applied gold Arabic numerals and indexes positioned on a lacquered white faced dial, 13 jewel 540 movement, and a locking mechanism for transport. The clock is equipped with a glass bubble level and two adjustable front feet to assist in the leveling of the clock, which is necessary for accurate operation.Included are the following:International GuaranteeDirections for Use DocumentOriginal Box with packing material included.Note:Clock is new, never used. This little antique clock is exceptional, created during the Edwardian and the belle epoque periods, back in the 1908-1910. It was crafted with gorgeous details in solid sterling silver .935/.999 and mount on a four-round footed base. The three sides panels and the top, are embellished with applications of vivid pink enamel over a radiant Guilloché surface. 1960s vintage Jaeger LeCoultre table clock - Marina Chinoise Model 349 made in Switzerland. This clock features a 16 jewel manual wind movement, frosted glass dial decorated with gold gilt chinoiserie lady figure walking through a landscape with flowers and rocks. The clock face displays gilt hour markers, pierced hands in a rectangular case with a brass footed base. The clock is signed Marina in the lower right corner. Numbered on the underside 349.
