 This listing is for a very rare French mantel clockThis clock dates to the early 1800s and features a gorgeous gilt bronze designThe clock is rare because it has automata automaton features with a moving water fountain.The fountain has its own movement and has a glass rod that spins, giving the illusion of water being spouted The clock has a gothic design with a cathedral shaped centerThe cathedral has gilt bronze knights in armor, brickwork, and spires The front has has a statue of a young man playing with a monkey. There is a chain that extends between the two.The basin of the fountain is in the shape of a clam shell. The inner part of the clam shell appears to be sterling silver The clock movement is an early silk thread movement. It has a design allowing the pendulum to swing outside the case. This design was probably created so that the pendulum doesn’t hit the lower automaton movementThe clock measures 8.4 x 4.75 x 14.75 inchesThe movements were last serviced in 2018. The lower automaton movement did run when tested (see video)The clock movement might need servicing. The spring is good. But it did not stay running.  Vintage Mid Century Jaeger LeCoultre Desk Clock Monkey Side Panels. Vintage 8 day wind clock. Awarded in 1966. The top is engraved -10 CY Sommer F P A Carabbean Cruise Director 1966-Tested in 24 hours it lost a minute so it will probably need cleaning servicing It has a fantastic Monkey Motif that makes the Mid Century design stand out. It measures approx. 8� wide x 6� tall x 1.75� deep. I will provide good pics to show condition. The inside needs dusting. Some scuffs on metal but shows well overall. ANTIQUE 1940 OSWALD GERMANY ROTATING EYES MONKEY CLOCK BLACK FOREST *RARE ITEM*

 This Antique Oswald Germany Rotating Eyes Monkey Clock is one of the Rarest Oswald Clocks. It was made in the 1940’s by the Oswald Company in the Black Forest area of Germany. One eye is for the hours and one eye is the minutes. The pictures with the rulers shows the time as 9:05, and the one with the weight scale shows 12:00. When the clock is wound the eyes rotate to make funny faces. The bottom has the original foil Oswald “OS” sticker. This is a self winding clock and when wound over time it runs a couple minutes slow. It can be adjusted by the slow & fast mechanism on the back. One of the screws on the back is missing a nut, it does not affect the function or operation. Overall measurements are 7” tall x 5” wide.
