CLOCK : 25 INCHES WITH BRONZE CHERUBS ON EACH SIDE OF THE CLOCK. 2 CANDELABRAS: 27 INCHES EACH HIGH, WIDTH 11.5 WITH 6 INCH BASE. The Candelabra each hold seven candles and marked inside Made in Italy, Brevetatto N7087-877, on the clock you can see two cherubs one on each side. The clock is 25 inches tall and candelabras 27 inches tall. Condition you can see on the pictures. THE CLOCK WEIGHTS 30 LBS AND 30 LBS FOR THE 2 CANDELABRAS. TOTAL 60 LBS. The Hermle Story In 1922 our founder Mr. Franz Hermle founded the Franz Hermle Clock Company located in Gosheim in Baden Wuerttemberg, a small town in southern Germany's Black Forest region. Within ten years the company became known as one of the most efficient manufacturers of clock movements in the clock industry. Even though the first half of the 20th Century brought with it many difficulties to overcome, including the complete dismantling of the factory after the World War II, Franz Hermle and his sons' dedication allowed them to prosper while other companies struggled. Franz Hermle passed away in 1953 and left a modern and prosperous operation to his sons Gebhard, Alfred, Hans and Heinrich Hermle. With tremendous willpower and energy, they continued to build the company into the worldwide leader in manufacturing mechanical movements and clocks. In 1977, Hermle decided to establish another manufacturing facility, Hermle Black Forest Clock Company to serve the North American market out of Amherst, Virginia, USA. Hermle Headquarters in southern Germany is now in its third generation, still family owned and operated. Hermle employs over 200 people in 3 locations in both Germany and USA. In October 2010, Hermle Gosheim was rebranded as Hermle GmbH and as of January 2011, Hermle Black Forest Clocks rebranded itself as Hermle North America. The back of the diaphragm in the clock has engraved at the base, Swiss made in both English and French. It still has the original crossed wooden support on the underside of the clock for storage in the case.

Antique Bank Lobby Marble Commercial Bank or Train Station Clock 86AE Pics Added
** Added photos of the inside and the pendulum *** Beautiful clock made by the Seth Thomas Clock Company in Thomaston, Connecticut. This company made not only residential clocks, but commercial clocks, too. Some were made for banks, railroad stations, fire departments, hotels and schools. The inside is marked ST and 86AE.This model was popular in train stations and bank lobbies, sometimes referred to as Gallery Clocks. This clock was listed in a 1922 catalog. This is 14 inches in diameter lovely extra raised numerals and minute points on it. Numerals and minutes look like a combination of bronze and brass. It has a beautiful marble dial and the brass raised numerals makes it really unusual. It also has two winding arbors, spring driven, probably to run almost 15 days at a time. Housing is a wooden back and height is 4.5 inches. Dials spin well and it is missing the Seth Thomas brass raised logo that would have been below near the arbors. There are hand-written notes on the back of the clock being serviced in 1941 and 1953, and also on the inside there is a note that it was rehauled and other service dates. Purchased from an estate in Missouri, the family noted it used to be in the lobby of a Farm and Home Savings building but not sure of the location. It was running when removed from the home, but doesn't have a key. Pendulum swings and move well from the below door panel. Inside reveals it is brass and wood and swings well. This clock does have wear, it has some pits and some light chips on the edges as shown. Also some marble yellowing on a few of the areas as shown, please review photos carefully for full condition. Weight is approximately 22 pounds, nice and heavy. We will package it well as we always do for safe delivery. We usually do auctions on our items but this clock we will consider offers! Enjoy!
